Description
Unofficial community backport of Better Block Entities for Minecraft 1.20.1 Fabric. It reduces block-entity rendering work by baking supported static models into Sodium terrain meshes while retaining animated rendering paths.
Client-side only. Requires Fabric Loader 0.16.7+, Fabric API, Sodium 0.5.13–0.5.x, Indium 1.0.36+, and Java 17+. Incompatible with OptiFabric, Vanillin, Enhanced Block Entities, and BetterBeds.
Local installed-client checks covered chest and shulker inventory interaction, visible models immediately after closing, and ender-chest/shulker lid movement. This is not a comparative performance benchmark; results vary by world and hardware. Some block-entity, resource-pack, multiplayer, and long-session cases remain unverified.
