Adds the ability to craft wither skulls in minecraft rather than going to a nether fortress to farm them.
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.
Quilt is a fork of the Fabric mod loader. Many Fabric mods are compatible with Quilt and vice versa.

Craft Wither Skeleton Skulls using a simple custom recipe!
This datapack is designed for peaceful servers, worlds with disabled Nether Fortresses, or players who simply don’t want to spend hours grinding skull drops. It makes progressing toward beacons and summoning the Wither much more accessible, while still keeping gameplay fair and survival-friendly.

🧾 Recipe

📥 Installation:
🗂️ Datapack Method (Vanilla / Servers)
- Download the .zip file
- Open your world folder:
- Singleplayer: .minecraft/saves/YourWorld/
- Server: your world directory
- Go into the datapacks folder
- Drag and drop the .zip file (do NOT unzip it)
In-game, run:
/reload
Confirm it loaded:
/datapack list
⚙️ Mod Loader Method (Forge / Fabric / Quilt / NeoForge)
Install your preferred loader:
- Forge
- Fabric
- Quilt
- NeoForge
Download the .jar version Open your .minecraft folder Place the file into the mods folder Launch Minecraft using the correct mod loader profile. If using Fabric you will need to install Fabric API 🎮 Enjoy!
