This is the Nether enhancement mod for beta 1.7.3. It adds some new biomes into the Nether with unique flora and fauna and some modern MC features like colored fog and biome particles.

Can be combined with StartInTheNether mod to get unique survival experience.

For version 1.0.0 and above:

Requires StAPI 2.0+ (available on Modrinth), can be installed same as other mods.

Mod Content (WIP):

• Tall Nether: Nether height was increased to 256 blocks and lava sea level was increased to 96 blocks.
• Custom Nether Generator: new Nether generator with different terrain features scattered all over the world. You can see many different terrain types including mountains, pillars, oceans, plains and so on.
• Many New Nether Biomes: there are now many colorful biomes with unique resources.
• Colored Custom Fog And Particles: Nether now have colored fog which dynamically changes over time and biome particle effects.
• New Mobs And Entities: Nether now have more different creatures, for example spiders with different colors.
• Spinning Wheel: new craft station that allows you to make cloth that is resistant to fire.
• Obsidian Boats: you can now travel across lava sea.
• Portal Compass: now you will be able to find your portal even if you are far away from it.
• New Achievements: your simple guide in mod progression.
• Many New Building BLocks: decorate your base or build a new one, open your creative freedom.
• Nether Weather: dangerous lava rain or dense Nether fog will make your travel more interesting.
• Fireproof Cloth Armor: now you can save yourself from lava and rain, but with cost of durability.
• Custom Nether Music: special music designed for the Nether will make your experience unique.
• Custom Ambience System: dynamic environment ambience will enhance your experience even more.
• Portals with any shape: you can build a Nether portal with any shape that you like.
• Custom Achievements: all new achievements will guide you threw the new Nether world.
• Custom Music: made by ConnorCrow specially for this mod, enjoy nice atmosphere while being in the Nether.
