About
Description
This mod adds the ability to plant crops by letting them fall onto farmland in item form. It aims to diversify crop farming methods, as the lack of automatic planting methods in vanilla makes crop farms generally uninteresting to build. It supports most modded crops by default, and can be configured to select exactly which items it should plant. Since this mod adds no blocks or items, in multiplayer only the server needs to have the mod installed.
Configuration Details:
The mod is configured through the server config, which in single player is found under the serverconfig file in the world folder. The config has an option to let the mod try to auto-detect items to plant, which is on by default. Whether or not the auto-detection is enabled, all items with the #betterplanting:plantable tag will be eligible for automatic planting. Items can be added to this tag via datapack or mod.
