Better Zoom (Zoom)

Better Zoom is a lightweight, ultra-smooth, and modern client-side mod for Minecraft 26+ (supporting versions 26.0, 26.1, 26.2, and newer) built on the Fabric loader.

This mod allows you to zoom in on your game view without permanently altering your field of view (FOV) settings, offering dynamic zoom level adjustments using your mouse scroll wheel.

🚀 Key Features

• Smooth Zoom via Keybind (Default: C): Pressing and holding the C key triggers a cinematic, smoothly interpolated zoom that reduces your FOV to 25% of its original value (4x zoom).
• Mouse Scroll Zoom Adjustments: While holding the zoom key, you can scroll your mouse wheel:
  • Scroll Up: Smoothly increases the zoom level up to 1% of your original FOV (a massive 100x zoom).
  • Scroll Down: Zooms back out towards the default zoom level.
  • Hotbar Scroll Lock: Scrolling your mouse wheel while zooming will not change your currently selected hotbar slot. The mod intercepts the scroll event, making it easy to inspect distant details without messing up your active item.
  • Automatic Zoom Reset: Releasing the zoom key smoothly restores your normal view. The next time you press the zoom key, it starts fresh from the default 4x zoom.
  • Dedicated Keybind Category: In Minecraft's controls menu (Options -> Controls -> Key Binds), the mod registers its own separate section named Zoom Mod where you can easily remap the zoom key.
