About
Description
Adds 200+ extra Wandering Trader trades for those of you who are really annoyed with the uselessness of the Wandering Trader.
Yeah, I'll admit it's not much, but if you dislike those little vermin innocent mumblers, this mod may not completely change your opinion of them.
Description -
As already stated, Better Wanderers aims to make your experience with the blue-robed rat angel a much more pleasant one. It adds a plethora of new trades for you to enjoy when you do stumble along the Wandering Trader. The hope is that these new trades will wash out most of the old ones, giving a little life boost to the relevance of the Wandering Trader. Some of these trades are extremely late-game, allowing you to do some pretty overpowered things (for a price, that is)
Some trades allow you to give 8 Netherite and a lot of emeralds to obtain a Block of Netherite, allowing Netherite to be renewable. You can also turn normal Skulls into Wither Skeleton Skulls.
And it gets worse from there. Reinforced Deepslate can be obtained, and you can even spend a stack of Emerald Blocks and Reinforced Deepslate to obtain one singular block of Bedrock.
Besides that, there are some pretty normal trades, like getting milk from a bucket (and some emeralds), and trading a jukebox for a music disc (which costs some emeralds). Not all of the trades are crazy, and in fact, this mod altogether is pretty balanced, with not much overpowered-ness (pretty sure that isn't a word).
Examples -
Some notable trades are:
- Infested Cobble & Bricks - Just to mess with your friends, of course.
- Spawn Eggs - Yeah. For quite a few emeralds and normal eggs, you can get some basic spawn eggs (Like Cows, Frogs, Sheep, etc)
- Wither Rose - Don't we all wish it were easier to obtain?
- Cheaper Material Blocks - Instead of spending all 9 required Ingots/Gems, you can spend a few less (and a lot of emeralds) to complete it's respective block.
- Ingot Smelting - You can give the trader a few emeralds and raw ores, and he will give you the smelted ingots in return. If you're lazy and don't want to smelt, that is.
- Budding Amethyst - So you can create your own amethyst farms, if you want. Without mining out a geode, creating an item elevator, etc.
- Wood (Not Logs) - It's annoying that you don't get 4 Wood for 4 Logs, right?
- Auto-grow Saplings - Just gives you some wood in exchange for saplings. Easy wood.
- Bonemeal from Raw Items - Just take a few composters and some cookies, and boom! 6 Bonemeal!
- Resources from Mob Heads - Take an Ender Dragon Head, and turn it into an Elytra! (Note: Since Ender Dragon Heads are only found at end ships anyway, this isn't really making Elytras easier to obtain. It just gives you the opportunity to double how many you've found)
- Unstripping Logs - Don't you hate it when you accidentally strip a log?
And, of course, there are a lot more that you will find in the mod itself.
FAQ -
Q: Can you port to x version?
A: Well, being the selfish caring mod creator I am, I'm trying to port to as many version as possible. However, if you see the tags, I do indeed use Mcreator. This means that I am limited to the versions Mcreator provides. I'm trying to get as many versions as possible, but I can't get that many. I'm sorry.
Q: Can you port to Fabric?
A: I will if I will. In other words, don't expect it.
Q: Can I use this in my modpack?
A: Free advertising, so please do!
Q: Why do you have a FAQ for such a small and horrible generally simple mod?
A: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Enjoy!
