Better Advanced MMO Systems — BAMS — is a progression-focused RPG system designed to transform Minecraft into a world where your character grows alongside your adventure.

Instead of choosing a class and being locked into a predetermined path, BAMS gives you the systems to build your own character from the ground up.

Your Origin, Bloodline, attributes, masteries, abilities, reincarnations, and decisions determine what you eventually become.

Want to become a fire-wielding swordsman? Build it.

A Blood Mage who drains enemies to survive? Build it.

⚔️ Character Progression

BAMS introduces its own Character Level and XP system, completely separate from vanilla Minecraft XP.

Fight enemies, grow stronger, earn attribute points, develop your masteries, and unlock increasingly powerful parts of your character.

Vanilla XP remains intact for enchanting, anvils, and compatibility with other mods.

Your Minecraft progression and your BAMS character progression exist side-by-side.

🧬 Origins

Your Origin represents what your character fundamentally is.

Origins provide unique strengths, weaknesses, traits, and percentage-based attribute modifiers that continue to matter as your character becomes stronger.

Higher-tier Origins aren't simply handed to you.

Progress.

Reincarnate.

Discover what your character can eventually become.

🔥 17 Bloodlines

Your Bloodline determines your natural elemental affinity and opens entirely different directions for character building.

BAMS features 17 Bloodlines:

Fire • Water • Earth • Wind • Lightning • Ice • Nature • Light • Dark • Physical • Poison • Blood • Arcane • Void • Chaos • Time • Space

Bloodlines aren't just different colors of the same attack.

They have their own strengths, weaknesses, resistances, abilities, status effects, and progression paths.

Elemental matchups also matter. Attacking something vulnerable to your Bloodline can dramatically change the effectiveness of your abilities, while attacking something resistant to it can reduce your damage.

🌳 Mastery Progression

BAMS is designed around mastering what you actually use.

Develop Bloodline, Physical, and Ranged progression instead of simply receiving every ability because your character reached a certain level.

Progression develops through multiple stages as your character grows, opening increasingly advanced abilities and specialization.

And BAMS doesn't spoil the entire journey from the beginning.

Some progression has to be discovered.

✨ Abilities

BAMS features a growing library of active abilities spanning elemental magic, physical combat, ranged combat, mobility, defense, healing, control, and more.

Abilities can consume resources such as Mana and Stamina, have individual cooldowns, and interact with other BAMS systems.

Your character has five active ability slots, allowing you to build a combat loadout around the abilities that actually fit your playstyle.

Abilities can include effects such as:

Burning • Bleeding • Poison • Freeze • Chill • Shock • Corrosion • Weakness • Slow • Silence • Stun • Lifesteal

And as BAMS grows, abilities are intended to become increasingly interconnected with mastery and character builds.

📊 Build Your Attributes

BAMS introduces a dedicated attribute system that directly influences your character.

Attributes aren't meaningless numbers sitting on a menu—they affect actual gameplay.

Build toward raw physical power, defense, speed, magical strength, survivability, or specialized combinations.

For example, Wisdom contributes directly to magical damage, while physical attributes support completely different character archetypes.

How you distribute your attributes becomes another part of creating your build.

❤️ Health, Mana & Stamina

Combat isn't built around health alone.

BAMS introduces dedicated:

Health — Your survivability.

Mana — Fuel for magical abilities.

Stamina — Fuel for physical actions and abilities.

These resources are integrated into the BAMS HUD so you can track your character and ability resources during combat.

♻️ Reincarnation

Reaching your limits doesn't necessarily mean your journey is over.

Reincarnation lets progression continue beyond a single lifetime.

Reincarnation is tied into some of BAMS's deeper progression systems, including access to increasingly powerful evolutionary paths and additional character-building possibilities.

Instead of simply making numbers infinitely larger, reincarnation is designed to open new possibilities for your next life.

👑 Titles & Auras

What you become should be visible.

BAMS is developing a Title and Aura system that recognizes character accomplishments and builds without forcing players into traditional classes.

Different combinations of progression can lead toward identities such as warriors, mages, specialized elemental users, hybrid fighters, and far stranger paths.

Auras provide visual effects around your character, while Titles give your accomplishments an identity.

Some may be obvious.

Others are meant to be discovered.

🌌 Designed for Modpacks

BAMS is being built as a standalone Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge system rather than being permanently tied to one specific modpack.

The goal is simple:

Install BAMS into a world and give that world an entirely new layer of RPG progression.

Whether you're playing mostly vanilla Minecraft or exploring a massive modpack filled with hundreds of mods, BAMS is designed to become the progression system connecting the adventure together.
