Features

  • Simple Mode — Your 12 most-used rules at a glance. One-click toggle for booleans, slider + precise input for integers, bidirectionally synced.
  • Advanced Mode — All 47 vanilla rules with real-time search. Filter by rule ID, name, or description.
  • Vanilla-Style UI — Modern Minecraft aesthetic (1.19.3+ era). Semi-transparent dark panel, scrollable card layout, native tooltips.
  • Customizable — Pick which rules appear in Simple Mode. Your list persists across restarts.
  • Help Tooltips — Hover the ? icon next to any rule name to see what it does.
  • Full i18n — Every rule has a translated name and description. Chinese (zh_cn) and English (en_us) included.
  • Multiplayer Ready — Only operators (permission level 2+) can modify rules. Works out of the box in single player.

How to Use

Action Key
Open GUI Ctrl+G or /bettergamerules or /bg
Toggle boolean rule Click button
Adjust integer rule Drag slider / Click input box
Search Type in Advanced Mode search bar
Switch mode Click tab buttons at the top
Customize list Click "Customize List" button
Close Click "Done" or press Esc

Install

  1. Install Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 (47.3.0+)
  2. Download bettergamerules-release-1.0.0.jar
  3. Place in .minecraft/mods/
  4. Launch and press Ctrl+G
