BigStacks

BigStacks is a highly configurable, server-friendly NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that allows you to break the vanilla 64-item stack limit. Raise your stack sizes up to 1,000,000,000 (1 Billion) with extreme precision!

Whether you want a slight bump to 128 for building materials, or a massive 100,000 stack limit for your heavily modded storage systems, BigStacks gives you total control through a beautiful in-game GUI.

✨ Features

  • Global Max Stack: Set a universal stack size limit for every item in the game.
  • Precision Overrides: Define custom stack sizes for specific items (minecraft:ender_pearl, 99), entire tags (#minecraft:planks, 1024), or entire mods (create:*, 2048).
  • Blacklist System: Exclude specific items, tools, or mods from being affected by the global stack size.
  • Beautiful In-Game GUI: Press K (or use the Mod Menu) to open the configuration screen. Features include:
    • Real-time Search Bar.
    • Live Item Icons and autocomplete suggestions.
    • Separate tabs for Overrides and Blacklist.
  • Smart Rendering (No Overlaps!): Vanilla Minecraft text breaks when a stack goes past 999. BigStacks fixes this by seamlessly abbreviating large numbers (e.g., 1.5K, 12K, 2M, 1B) and slightly scaling them down (75%) so they look elegant and fit perfectly inside your inventory slots.
  • Informative Tooltips: Hold Shift (or use F3 + H) to see the modified max stack size of any item directly in its tooltip.
  • Multiplayer Ready: Fully supports dedicated servers. The server dictates the rules and automatically synchronizes the configuration to all connecting clients!

🎮 Commands & Setup

The mod can be configured entirely via the in-game GUI, but also supports chat commands:

  • Singleplayer / Client: /BigStacks (Opens the GUI, view lists, set global limits).
  • Dedicated Servers (OP required): /bigstacks (Manage the server configuration, reload the TOML file).

Alternatively, you can edit the config/bigstacks-common.toml file directly. The mod will detect changes and update automatically!

🛠️ Compatibility

BigStacks is designed to be highly compatible. The rendering mixins are superficial and designed to work alongside inventory-sorting mods, JEI/REI, and custom backpack mods without breaking them.
