Chorus Eye is a small mod that adds a brand new mob and new structures to the End.

The Chorus Eye is a floating mob with a big eye that resembles chorus plants. It spawns in End Highlands and Midlands, most commonly around new End structures (which will be explained later).

The Chorus Eye is neutral. If you attack it, all surrounding Chorus Eyes will fire tears at the player, causing Blindness. You can tame it with Chorus Fruit. Each time you hit a Chorus Eye, it also drops Chorus Tears, a new item. Chorus Tears can be crafted with Glowstone Dust into Chorus Tear Dust, which can be used for a new light source or ammo for a special weapon.

This mod adds a few new structures to the End. Large Purpur Trees, Small Purpur Trees, and Purpur Forests are pillars of Purpur that contain spawners for the Chorus Eye and some loot. Two new items you can find are the Teary Wand and the Totem of Sight, along with Chorus Fruit, Popped Chorus Fruit, and Chorus Tears.

The Teary Wand is a ranged weapon that uses Chorus Tear Dust as ammo. To use it, hold it in your main hand with Chorus Tear Dust in the off hand. The wand’s projectiles inflict blindness on mobs.

The second and most powerful item in this mod is called the Totem of Sight. When right clicked in the player’s main hand, it gives 5 minutes of Night Vision and 2 minutes of Slow Falling. Both of these items are rare, so it will take some time to find these goodies!

The mob itself

This mod is part of the “Bite Sized” series! Mods in this series generally focus on a single feature. Right now this is experimental and it may change a bit, but I am excited for this new mod series.
