About

Description

This mod adds in unique ways to upgrade ones weapon, while still trying to keep things balanced and fair. My goal with this mod was to add more ways of customizing weapons for combat.

Rarity System:

There are currently 2 types of polishes (with more to come), normal ones and artifact ones. Normal polishes are easy to get and are obtained from either fishing, or finding them in more common loot chests such a dungeon or blacksmith chest. Artifact polishes on the other hand, are more difficult and unique to obtain, and are stronger than normal polishes.

Slot System:

Currently every polishable weapon can be only polished once, but you can increase the amount of polishes your weapon can have by adding gems, however you can only use the same gem once.

Obtainment/Current Additions:

Normal Polishes:

All are obtained through fishing/dungeon or blacksmith loot tables

Basic Polish - Deal 5% more damage
Combo Polish -  Each hit makes you deal 1 heart more, but resets when you are hit

Critical Polish - Critical strikes deal 25% extra damage

Fiery Polish - Attacking a burning target extinguishes them, empowering your next strike by 50%

Quick Sand Polish - Gain a speed boost on sand. Found in desert temples.

Artifact Polishes:

Lightning Polish - Every 4th strike summon lightning to deal 4 hearts of true damage. Obtained by having lightning strike basic polish on the ground.

Double Edged Polish - Strike your opponent with a second strike dealing 20% of the original damage. Obtained through crafting.

Spectral Polish - When hit have a small chance to turn invulnerable for the next 5 hits. Uncommonly found in end city chests.
