About
Description
Bladebound
Bladebound is a Fabric mod focused on named legendary weapons, world-based discovery, and light progression mechanics that integrate naturally into survival Minecraft. Powerful items are earned through exploration rather than shortcuts, encouraging players to uncover ancient structures and hidden knowledge.
Featured Weapons & Artifacts
Sandai Kitetsu — Uncommon
A cursed blade from a dangerous lineage.
This sword does not generate in the world and must be crafted using a Nether-obtained cursed component.
Wado Ichimonji — Rare
A disciplined blade that grows stronger through mastery and consistent use.
Found inside the Wado Ichimonji Dojo
Excalibur — Legendary
A legendary holy sword that deals bonus damage to undead enemies.
Spawns in the Excalibur Church
Murasame — Legendary
A cursed blade that inflicts the deadly Murasame Curse on hit.
Without proper protection, this curse will kill both enemies and the wielder.
Spawns in the Murasame Shrine
Frieren’s Staff — Legendary
The staff of one of the greatest mages to ever live, enabling spellcasting and magical progression.
Spawns in Frieren’s Tower
World Generation & Exploration
Most rare and legendary items in Bladebound are obtained through exploration, not crafting.
Ancient structures are scattered throughout the world, each tied to specific weapons or magical progression paths.
Sandai Kitetsu is excluded from world generation and must always be crafted.
Artifacts & Magical Components
Cursed Kitetsu Shard
A cursed crafting material used to forge Sandai Kitetsu.
- Dropped by Wither Skeletons
- Rarely obtainable through Piglin bartering
Murasame Gauntlets
Protective gauntlets designed to shield the wielder from powerful curses.
- Required to safely wield Murasame
- Crafted rather than found
Cooldown Bracelet
A magical bracelet that alters how spells are cast.
- Influences spellcasting behavior when worn
- Obtained through exploration or villager trades
Magic & Progression
Bladebound introduces a light magic system centered around staves, mana, and spell discovery.
Spells are learned through exploration and ancient knowledge rather than crafting tables, keeping progression immersive and deliberate.
Bladebound Codex
Bladebound includes an in-game Codex that documents weapons, magic, and progression rules.
It serves as a natural reference for learning how items work and where they can be obtained.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 / 1.21.11
