BlissGems

About

This is BlissGems as a Fabric mod. Same eight gems as the Bliss SMP plugin, same abilities, energy and tiers, but it runs on Fabric. You can play it on a server or just in singleplayer.

Being a mod means a few things got better:

• No resource pack. Gem textures, icons and fonts are inside the mod.
• A real menu. Press B and you get your gem, its abilities with live cooldowns, your controls, trusted players and stats in one window.
• Proper keybinds. Abilities sit on R, G, V and H by default. You can change them in Options → Controls → BlissGems like any other key.

It has to be installed on both the server and every client, because it adds its own items.

Every player carries one gem. Hold it to use its abilities, and keep it on you for the passives. Tier 1 gives you the first ability, and tier 2 unlocks the rest.

B opens it. The colour follows the gem you are holding.

Every ability also has a click combo (right click, shift + right click, hit, shift + hit). Swap them around here, or turn clicks off and use only the keys.

Core features

<details> <summary>Energy: 0 to 10, and it changes how strong your gem is</summary>

You gain energy for kills and lose it when you die. At 10 the gem is Pristine +5. If you drop low enough it becomes Ruined and then Broken. Energy bottles and the menu's Withdraw button move energy around.

Tier 1 has one ability. A Gem Upgrader takes it to tier 2 and unlocks the other three.

A crafted gem that collects the souls of the other gems and comes with its own events. It uses the two extra ability keys (Gold 5 and Gold 6, unbound by default).

If you have Iris installed, the mod drops its shaderpack into your shaderpacks folder. Pick it in Iris' shader settings if you want it.

Crafting recipes for all of these are in the game:

• Gem Upgrader: tier 1 → tier 2
• Repair Kit: drop it on a beacon to build a Pedestal that refills energy for everyone nearby
• Energy Bottle: energy you can trade or store
• Gem Trader: rerolls your gem into a random different one
• Revive Beacon: brings a dead player back
• Gem Fragment
• Restoration Book: saves a Broken gem by turning it into a new random gem
• Prismatic Edge: the sword
• Gold Gem

1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
2. Download the BlissGems file for your exact Minecraft version and put it in mods. That goes for the server and every player.
3. As an admin, run /bliss smp start to give everyone their gem.

Settings live in config/blissgems.json. /bliss lists all commands.
