Ever get picked off by a skeleton hiding in a dark corner, shooting you with its bow? This mod fixes that - skeletons no longer snipe from a distance. All four vanilla skeletons are now melee creatures that rush at you instead:

Mob Holds Drops
Skeleton Bone Bone + Arrows (0-2)
Stray Cod Cod + Arrow of Slowness
Bogged Tipped Arrow of Poison Arrows + Arrow of Poison
Parched (1.21.11+) Dead Bush Dead Bush + Arrow of Weakness

Features:

  • All four skeletons fight melee only - no more bow sniping from afar
  • Even if you give them a bow via commands, they will never shoot
  • Melee damage 2.0 (1 heart on Normal difficulty)
  • Bows removed from loot tables; each skeleton now drops its themed arrows instead
  • Wither skeletons are unaffected
