Description

Boss Altar

Boss Altar lets you summon any boss you want and fight it in an arena that builds itself around the altar. It isn’t limited to a fixed list of bosses. You can search every entity from vanilla and your other mods, add them to a pool, and the altar will summon from it.

How it works

Place the altar and open it. You can search by name, ID, or @modname, add entities to the pool, and set the boss’s health and damage. Then pick a ritual style (Arcane, Inferno, Void, Soul, Storm, or Random) and start. After a short countdown the colosseum builds, the arena seals, and the boss spawns.

Altars and colosseums also generate in the world, so you can find them while exploring.

What’s in it

Tiers: Normal, Heroic and Nightmare. You have to beat a boss on the previous tier to unlock the next, and higher tiers give better rewards.

Affixes: Bosses can roll modifiers like Vampiric, Reflective, Splitting, Shielded, Frenzied, Regenerating, Armored and Volatile. If the fight drags on, the boss enrages.

Hazards: The arena fights back with darkness, poison, falling debris, vents and lightning. They’re telegraphed first, and they get worse when the boss enrages.

Unlocks and rewards: Beat a boss once to unlock it for direct summoning. Random summons can bring up bosses you haven’t unlocked. Reward chests belong to the players who took part in the fight, and you also get a Boss Trophy.

Leaderboard: It tracks kills, damage, deaths and fastest clear times.
