Description
Brushed and Bundled
Mine, Build, and Adventure free of the burdens of Inventory Management with a system designed for early to late game! This idea is inspired by the fact that most blocks and items are variants of each other and so this datapack comes in 2 parts utilizing the Brush for Blocks and the Bundles for Items!
(Will be updated to the latest version of Minecraft soon...)
(This datapack is still considered in Beta and I would love some feedback if you try it out! Thanks!)
How to Install
In order to install this project, you must copy over the contents of the datapack into the World's save file either on the New World Screen under More, Data Packs, and then Open Pack Folder or on an existing World under Edit, Open World Folder, then add it in the "datapacks" Folder. This datapack also comes with a required resourcepack for the Brush's GUI! Upon hitting download on the Modrinth website, under Download Manually, you should see the option to download the Required Resource Pack! (I don't know why it doesn't work on the Modrinth app... I'll try and get that fixed.)
The Brush
The Brush aims to cut down on the Block Variants cluttering up your inventory from diorite and andesite to cracked deepslate bricks! It does this by setting the drops of most blocks to their base form similar to how stone break into cobblestone when mined. Then, when you want to place these blocks back into the world, you can place their base form like cobblestone then paint back on their attributes using a brush and another item like flint and steel, a moss block, or the stonecutter!
(A GUI of what items are needed to convert blocks is provided in game in the bottom right of the screen when holding a brush.)
These are the families of Blocks that will break into their base form:

And here is how to paint back on attributes using the brush:

There is a slight caveat of how tedious painting back on attributes onto a huge wall of blocks can be... so to combat this, you can hold the base block in your hand, brush in offhand, and shift click a block variant to save it to then place it into the world without needing to be continuously brushed!
The Bundles
This feature is currently being worked on. Come back later!
Other Changes
Some block loot tables were modified so if you start swinging, you won't collect unnecessary clutter unless you're purposefully looking to collect it. Some recipes like the hanging sign were also changed so you don't need silk touch on stripped logs in order to craft them.

Modifications
The datapack is relatively easy to modify to your desire in the GitHub as in order to not type out a million lines I created a datapack file generator with json files that define all of the block behaviours. It is currently made in Java but will be converted to Python when I update the datapack to 26.3.
Base modifications of my own will be made over time as well with testing, ideas, and feedback as the datapack evolves, so be sure to let me know what you think should be changed!
This mod currently uses a modified Raycast Library as a dependency inside the datapack which will be made into a separate, clearer dependency in a later update.
