Description

Bug Splatter

Add a little protein to low altitude flight

Bug Splatter adds satisfying bug splat effects to your HUD while gliding, giving low-altitude flying the visceral feeling it deserves.

gif

How It Works

While gliding with an elytra, bugs will splatter across your screen when you're flying fast and close to the ground.

  • Splats appear when flying at sufficient speed within 10 blocks of the ground
  • Fly within 5 blocks of the ground and the splat rate doubles
  • Swamp and jungle biomes increase the splat rate further
  • Water clears all splats instantly
  • Rain prevents new splats from spawning
  • Splats only appear when looking in the direction you're flying

Active Biomes

Bug splats only occur in overworld biomes where insects would realistically exist. Snow biomes, oceans, and the void are excluded.
