Description
Bugs and grubs adds in 3 different bugs you can collect from holding right-click on grass with a bug net, adding a potential food source you can obtain with ease. Each of the bugs can be pestled into a few different items, most notably the bug mush and bug brew, with the former providing a lesser immunity against poison, slowness, and weakness, and the latter providing the player with a greater immunity protecting against all harmful effects momentarily, and giving certain effects for a duration dependent on how many of a specific bug type are put into the recipe.
Mortar and Pestle update:
Items:
- Witchetty Grub: Collectable with a bug net from dead bushes. Edible for low nutrition and saturation.
- Forest Scorpion: Collectable with a bug net from ferns. Edible for low nutrition and saturation.
- Grasshopper: Collectable with a bug net from grass. Edible for low nutrition and saturation.
- Bug Net: A low durability net craftable with string and sticks which can be used (via right-click) on different grass, ferns, or dead bushes, to collect bugs. Can be enchanted with swift catch, and clustering.
- Pestle: Used with the mortar to craft slime balls and bug mush.
- Blaze Pestle: Used with the mortar to craft bug brew.
- Bug Mush: A mushy mixture pestled from 6 bugs using a bowl, when eaten provides the player with the lesser immunity effect, giving 15 seconds of protection to sources of slowness, weakness, and poison.
- Bug Brew: A brew pestled from 9 bugs with a glass bottle, providing greater immunity when eaten - protecting against all harmful effects - and providing the effects Grubby, Stinger and Light Footed, dependent on whether their respective bugs are added to the mortar, for a duration based on how many of said bug was pestled.
Blocks:
- Mortar: Pestle bugs to craft a few different items.
Effects:
- Lesser Immunity: Removes the player's poison, weakness and slowness.
- Greater Immunity: Removes all harmful effects the player has.
- Grubby: Increases food nutrition and saturation when eaten.
- Stinger: When hit with melee by an entity, will afflict the envenomed effect, causing rapid damage and slowing the subject for 5 seconds.
- Light Footed: Increases height and forward velocity when jumping, also slightly decreasing fall damage and fall speed.
- Envenomed: Causes small amounts of damage rapidly, slowing the target.
Enchantments:
- Swift Catch: When enchanted onto a bug net, increases the speed of catching a bug by 3 times.
- Clustering: With levels 1 and 2, adds a chance for collecting 2 and 3 bugs respectively when enchanted onto a bug net.
