Description

Busy Villagers

Overview

Ever feel guilty about overworking villagers for emeralds? Good news! They absolutely love it! Busy Villagers removes the pesky "work-life balance" nonsense that vanilla villagers insist on, letting them live their best capitalist dream of restocking trades 24/7. No villagers were harmed in the making of this mod (they signed the waiver willingly, we promise).

This mod is perfect for players who need reliable villager trading without waiting for daylight or dealing with "meeting time" shenanigans. Whether you're building a mega trading hall or just tired of villagers taking naps when you need enchanted books, this mod has your back.

Features

Core Functionality:

  • Villagers restock based on configurable cooldown timers instead of daylight cycles
  • Optional 24/7 work mode (No unions were consulted)
  • Customizable restock cooldown periods (default: 2 minutes)
  • Configurable restock reset windows (default: 10 minutes)
  • Maximum restocks per period control (default: 2)
  • Optional sleep prevention (because beds are for the weak)
  • "Always Working" mode that eliminates idle time and meeting schedules

Configuration Options:

  • restockCooldownMinutes: Set the cooldown between individual restocks (default: 2)
  • restockResetMinutes: Time before restock counter resets (default: 10)
  • maxRestocksPerPeriod: Maximum restocks allowed per period (default: 2)
  • preventVillagerSleep: Stop villagers from sleeping at night (default: true)
  • alwaysWorking: Make villagers work all day with no schedule changes (default: false)

What This Means:

  • Trade with villagers any time of day or night
  • No more waiting for sunrise to restock
  • Predictable, timer-based restocking mechanics
  • Fully customizable to match your playstyle or server economy

Disclaimer: While no villagers were physically harmed during development, psychological impacts of 24/7 employment were not studied. Use responsibly. The Coalition Against Villager Exploitation (CAVE) is monitoring this situation closely.
