Description

This mod adds C418's music from the Volume Alpha and Beta soundtracks that weren't already in the game.

There were some mods that did some of this already but I wanted to add them in places that fit, not all exclusively as music discs, and I wanted any new music discs I did have to feel like they fit in the game.

List of added tracks, and where you can hear them:

  • 2a. Door - Main Menu
  • 4a. Death - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, rare drop when killing a chicken with an arrow. Inspired by the audio. Completes advancement when found.
  • 6a. Moog City - Main Menu
  • 10a. Équinoxe - Credits
  • 15a. Chris - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, found in Woodland Mansions, Ancient Cities, and through the charged creeper trick. Colors are inspired by an album by the musician the song's name references.
  • 17a. Excuse - The Nether, except for the Basalt Deltas. Inspired by how the song was originally made with the 'hell' world in mind.
  • 20a. Dog - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, found in Dungeons, Woodland Mansions, Ancient Cities, and through the charged creeper trick.
  • 22a. Beginning - Main Menu
  • 23a. Droopy likes ricochet - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, found in Buried Treasure, End Cities, and through the charged creeper trick. Colors are inspired by the Droopy character.
  • 24a. Droopy likes your face - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, found in Buried Treasure, End Cities, and through the charged creeper trick. Colors are inspired by the Droopy character.
  • 1b. Ki - The Nether, except for the Basalt Deltas.
  • 5b. Flake - Snowy and mountainous biomes. Inspired by this song being played in legacy console versions with the festive pack enabled.
  • 14b. Kyoto - Snowy, mountainous, cherry, and bamboo biomes. Inspired by this song being played in legacy console versions with the festive pack enabled.
  • 25b. Eleven - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, found by 'repairing' Music Disc 11. Completes advancement when played in a jukebox.
  • 30b. Intro - Music Disc Icon Music Disc, found exclusively in End Cities. Completes advancement when found.

Some vanilla C418 music discs have also been added to some loot lists, along with some other tweaks:

  • Cat - End Cities.
  • 13 - End Cities.
  • Wait - Buried Treasure. Inspired by Bedrock Edition.
  • Mellohi - Buried Treasure. Inspired by Bedrock Edition.
  • Stal - Dungeon, Woodland Mansion, and Ancient Cities.
  • Strad - Dungeon, Woodland Mansion, and Ancient Cities.
  • 11 - Dungeon, Woodland Mansion, and Ancient Cities.
  • Ward - Dungeon, Woodland Mansion, and Ancient Cities.
  • Blocks - Dungeon, Woodland Mansion, and Ancient Cities.
  • Skeleton kills a Creeper - Unlocks advancement

This mod was made with MCreator as I don't know 100% how to make mods from scratch, but I used attention to detail when creating this mod and worked around some limitations by manually editing resources or code when needed. Some advancement unlock conditions weren't available within the MCreator UI, for instance.

Please support C418 by purchasing Volume Alpha and Volume Beta, it's well deserved for giving us some of the most iconic tracks in video game history.
