Description

Caligo Mods is a unique Minecraft mod that brings new gameplay layers focused on collection, strategy, and creative challenges. Originally built for the Brite-Sur-Mer server, it's now available for everyone to enjoy!

Whether you're a solo adventurer or playing with friends, this mod delivers custom content that rewards curiosity, experimentation, and a bit of chaos.

🗿 29 Streamer Statues to Collect

description_13fbe869-4f85-4017-97b5-345eb4dc0d5a.png

Hunt down and collect 29 unique statues, each one paying tribute to a streamer who participated in the Caligo 2024 event.
They're hidden throughout the world, and collecting them all is a true mark of dedication (and maybe obsession).

📜 Original Quest System

description_f6e4f5cb-e3aa-4d33-84d0-d2154038b6a5.png

A big part of Caligo Mods is its custom quest system, integrated through Minecraft's Advancements. Each item or advancement is tied to a quirky, sometimes ridiculous action you’ll need to perform.

🎯 Sample quests:

• Place a block 250 blocks high ☁

• Eat cookies underwater 🍪

Dye a fox orange 🦧

• Reach level 30 🏅

• Click en a baby fox with a gray wool 🦊

• Hit a villager with a potatoe 🍟

• Put powder snow inside a cauldron in the desert 🏂

• Be hit by lightning and got lighting rod in both hands ⚡

• Apply a brown wool on a bee hive 🐝

All quests are grouped into factions, each with its own tone and theme:

•🦉 Team Hibou – Stealthy, thoughtful, and wise

• 💊 Team Barbiturique – Slow but unstoppable

• 🐣 Team des Kips – Quick, chaotic energy

• 🪨 Team des Golems – Strong, grounded, reliable

• ⚔️ Team Mousquetaires – Bold, daring, and full of flair

Each faction offers a different flavor of progression, encouraging teamwork or playful competition.

🃏 Cards & Combat System

description_21a69932-b8ed-435b-b1a4-a5179ab97f0a.png

Collect and battle using an in-game card system!
Caligo Mods introduces:

• 19 Monster Cards

• 11 Item Cards

Build your deck and engage in player-vs-player card battles, complete with original effects and tactical mechanics. Whether you're a competitive card game player or just want to mess with your friends, this adds a whole new dimension to Minecraft.

How to play it

• Cards

There are two types of cards: Monster cards and Item cards.

Monster cards have a name and may include active or passive abilities, as well as additional effects.
A monster's health (HP) is shown in the top-right corner of the card.
Monsters are the only cards that can be placed on the game board.

Item cards are marked with the word Item in the top-right corner and trigger immediate effects when played.

• Effects

• Helmet: Reflects 10 damage back to the attacker for each active attack received.

• +X / X: Heals your active monster for +20 HP / Deals 20 damage to the opponent’s active monster.

• Counter: When receiving an active attack, reflects the passive damage indicated back to the attacker.

• HP + X: Heals your active monster for X HP, without exceeding max health.

• X Red Coin: Flip coins until you get a blue one. Deal X damage for each red coin flipped before that. If the blue coin comes up first, the attack ends with no damage.

• Block 1 Damage: Cancels the next incoming active attack.

• +X Card: Draw X cards from your deck.

• Cost 1 Energy / +X DMG: Remove 1 energy from your active monster, but boost its next active damage by +20.

• Switch Active: Swap your active monster with a bench monster without losing any of its attached energy.

• -1 Card = +1 Energy: Discard 1 card from your hand to attach 1 energy directly to your monster.

• Slap -10 (originally Claquette): Deals 10 damage to the opponent’s active monster.

• X: Inflicts Blindness, which prevents the opposing monster from attacking or being switched out.

At the beginning and end of each turn, the affected player flips a coin. If it's blue, the effect ends; if not, the effect continues until their next turn.

• X × Energy: Deals X damage per energy attached to this monster.

• ATK =: The effect triggers when your monster attacks the opponent.

• DEF =: The effect triggers when your monster is attacked.

• Ex: Purely decorative.

• X1 DMG × X2: Multiplies the monster’s next X1 damage actions by X2.

Example: 3 DMG ×2 means the next three damage actions from this monster are doubled.

• Impostor: Hide the front of your card from the opponent until your monster drops below 50% HP.

This card can be played during Turn 0.

• Abilities

Active abilities require a minimum amount of energy to be used. Once an ability is used, the player’s turn ends.
Energies stay attached to the monster unless otherwise stated.
Monsters can only attack the opponent's active monster with their own active monster.

• The Field

The game board is divided into two halves—one per player, and these positions do not change during the match.
Each player's board has three slots:

2 Bench Slots

1 Active Slot

• The Deck

A deck must contain between 1 and 16 cards.

You may have a maximum of 2 cards with the same name.

The deck must include at least 1 Monster card.

• Energy Zone

Each player gains 1 energy at the start of their turn.

This energy can be attached to a friendly monster, or saved for later.

Energies have different visual styles but are purely cosmetic skins—they function the same.

• Starting the Game

  1. Fill 1 dispenser with your deck cards (use a hopper if space is tight).

  2. Fill another dispenser with 16 red coins and 16 blue coins.

  3. A player flips a coin after calling a color (red or blue).

  4. If the color matches, they play first. Otherwise, the opponent goes first.

  5. This determines Turn 0.

During Turn 0:

Each player draws 3 cards, if their deck allows.

If a player doesn’t have a Monster in hand, they return the leftmost card to the deck and draw again until a Monster is found.

Each player must place 1 Monster on their active slot, and may place more on their bench.

• Item cards cannot be used during this phase.

• Coins

Coins must be returned to the dispenser at the end of each turn.
Red and blue coins trigger effects described on the cards that reference them.

• Turn Structure

Only 1 Item card (Obj) can be played per turn.

• Turn 1 and beyond:

The player who won the coin toss draws 1 card.

They can play Monster cards (as long as there’s space) and use Item cards, or choose to pass.

The other player then takes their turn in the same way, and may also attach 1 energy from their energy zone.

Every turn, a player draws 1 card and gains 1 energy before taking any actions.

• Retreat & Discard

Monsters can be swapped under certain conditions.

• Retreating:

• If your active monster has 2 or more energies, it can be switched with a bench monster, keeping only 1 energy.

If it has no energy or is under an effect that prevents switching, it cannot be moved.

• Discarding:

A player can voluntarily discard their active monster if it has 2 or more energies.

• All energies are lost, but 1 energy can be transferred immediately to a bench monster.

Only one monster can be discarded per turn.

If a monster’s HP drops to 0, it is automatically discarded and its energies are lost.

• Victory, Defeat, and Draw

• Each player starts with 4 life points.

If an allied monster dies → Lose 2 life points.

If the deck is empty when a player needs to draw → Lose 1 life point.

From Turn 16 onward, Golden’s Divine Light strikes each player, making them lose 1 life point per round.

You lose if:

You reach 0 life points.

You have no monsters left on the field.

If both players hit 0 life points, check the following to determine the result:

  1. The player with the most cards in their discard pile wins.

  2. If equal, the player who took the most total damage loses.

  3. If still tied, the game ends in a draw.
