Description
Carbon Climax — Every burn has a consequence.
A complete carbon-cycle simulation mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric). Every furnace you fire, every tree you fell, every ore you mine pushes the atmosphere closer to the tipping point — and once CO₂ crosses the threshold, the world pushes back.
What it does:
- Real-time CO₂ tracking — Burning fuel, mining ores, and chopping trees all add CO₂ to a global atmosphere. Every action matters.
- Temperature that responds — As CO₂ rises, so does the temperature. Stay cool under trees, in water, or at high altitude. If you overheat, you take damage.
- Dynamic climate feedback — Sea levels rise, ice and snow melt, crops grow faster but irrigation water evaporates, extreme weather strikes, typhoons flood the coast, oceans acidify and kill coral.
- Permafrost methane feedback loop — Once temperatures climb too high, frozen soil releases methane, accelerating warming further.
- Survival pressure — Thirst depletes faster in heat; animals stop breeding and die off; heatstroke debuffs slow you down.
- Tech to fight back — Build CO₂ absorbers (redstone-powered) to scrub the air, or windmills that generate stronger redstone the higher you place them.
- Two new enchantments — Cooling (armor) lowers your body temperature; Quench (helmet) slows thirst drain. Find them in enchanting tables, villager trades, or structure loot.
The goal: Push CO₂ below 300 ppm to trigger the climate reversal achievement — but don't expect it to be easy.
Everything is reversible. Nothing is without cost. This mod was generated with AI assistance.
