Description
Carpet AMS Addition: NeoForged
Fork of Carpet AMS Addition Mod ported to NeoForge
Carpet AMS Addition: NeoForged is a NeoForge port of the Carpet AMS Addition extension for Minecraft 1.21.1. It keeps the purpose of the original project: adding a large collection of configurable Carpet rules, commands, recipes, and technical-server utilities for players who want more control over Minecraft mechanics.
The mod is intended for technical Minecraft servers, survival servers, map makers, and players who use Carpet to tune gameplay. Most features are disabled by default and can be enabled through Carpet rules, so server owners can choose only the mechanics they want.
What the original mod does
The original Carpet AMS Addition is a Fabric Carpet extension. It expands Carpet with many optional rules for survival convenience, technical gameplay, redstone testing, TNT behavior, fake players, chunk loading, commands, and craftable recipe toggles.
Examples of included features:
- Technical and redstone tools, such as update suppression crash protection, custom update suppressor blocks, custom block blast resistance, TNT power control, explosion-related item protection, enhanced world eater support, and scheduled-random-tick plant rules.
- Chunk loading controls, including note block, bell, and piston chunk loaders, configurable loading range and time, player chunk loading control, and rules that keep world ticking behavior active when needed.
- Gameplay and survival tweaks, such as nether water placement, safe flight, faster movement, larger Ender Chests and Shulker Boxes, villager trade controls, renewable netherite scrap, infinite durability, stronger leashes, customizable Nether portals, and quality-of-life rules for signs, cakes, parrots, endermen, villagers, and dragon fights.
- Server commands, including
/here,/where,/goto,/getSaveSize,/getSystemInfo,/getHeldItemID,/getPlayerSkull,/leader,/pings, custom command permission levels, custom movable blocks, custom fireproof items, and custom blast resistance management. - Crafting and smelting rule toggles, such as craftable enchanted golden apples, bundles, elytra, improved bone block and dispenser recipes, polished blackstone button crafting, and smelting rotten flesh into leather.
- Fake-player improvements, such as clearer fake player names, fake player scoreboard hiding, pickup controls, offline UUID support, survival-mode defaults, and fixes for fake player interaction behavior.
What changed in this fork
This fork ports Carpet AMS Addition from Fabric to NeoForge. The goal is to make the original AMS rule set available in NeoForge-based Minecraft 1.21.1 environments while preserving the behavior and configuration style of the original Carpet extension.
NeoForged-specific changes include:
- NeoForge mod metadata and dependency setup.
- Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge 21.1.x targeting.
- Integration with the NeoForge runtime while keeping Carpet as a required dependency.
- Ported rule registration, mixin configuration, commands, resources, translations, and recipes for the NeoForge project structure.
