Description

Minecraft Miller's Planet

This mod is a casual friendly fork of Carpet Sky Additions. To use this mod, you may follow the same instruction of the original mod. But if you have issues with it, please contact me instead of their developers.

It was originally created for my own survival multiplayer (SMP) server. Let's be honest: not every player is some hardcore technical redstoner like you! This mod is designed with casual players in mind, significantly lowering the punishing difficulty of original mod, meanwhile it keeps the vibe of build everything from nothing. The goal is to get all items!

Another huge motivation behind this specific design is aesthetics—the terrain looks just like the endless, knee-deep ocean of Miller's Planet from the movie Interstellar.

Miller's Planet

Key Features

Instead of an endless, deadly void, the absolute bottom of the world is generated with a safety layer, creating the "Miller's Planet" illusion. This varies by dimension:

spawn island

  • The Overworld: A solid layer of Stone (Y=62) topped with a layer of Water (Y=63). No more void deaths! You can easily swim downwards to expand your base, survive accidental falls, and grab some early-game stone if you really need to.
  • The Nether: A layer of Lava (Y=63) sitting on top of biome-specific blocks like Blackstone, Basalt, Soul Sand, Crimson Nylium, or Warped Nylium (Y=62).
  • The End: A foundational layer of End Stone (Y=62) covered by a layer of Water (Y=63).

It require the base Fabric Carpet mod to function. However, it does NOT need to install the original Carpet Sky Additions alongside it.
