Description
Mod is not going to be maintained further, as it was a concept. THIS IS NOT A 1.19 BACKPORT.
Caves & Cliffs: Sculk
Sculk Sensors and more!
Requires Fabric API
This mod is a concept and doesn't have any crafting recipes or block drops. It cannot be used in vanilla survival. All blocks are available in the vanilla item tabs.
Fabric is a perfectly functional and easy to use mod loader and there are lots of mods available for it. This mod will not be ported to Forge. Don't ask in the comments.
Features:
- HIGHLIGHT FEATURE: Sculk Sensors!
The sculk sensors in this mod are meant to be as accurate as possible to how the developers say they will work.

Sculk sensors are blocks from the 1.17 1.18 1.19 update, shown at Minecraft Live 2020 2021, that can detect vibrations and movement. They can sense footsteps, block placing, and projectiles!
According to the Minecraft Developers, sculk sensors don't react to all sounds, they react to predetermined "vibrations", mainly movement. That is the way they work in this mod.
Currently, sculk sensors don't react to every kind of vibration. If they aren't sensing something you think they should be sensing, leave an issue on GitHub!
- Sculk Blocks!
This mod introduces 3 types of sculk themed blocks shown during Minecraft Live 2020 2021. They include Sculk Growths, Sculk Growth Blocks, and Sculk Sources.
Sculk sources will very slowly spread sculk growth blocks around them onto stone.
PREDICTION ACCURACY:
Sculk Growths = Sculk Veins
Sculk Growth Blocks = Sculk
Sculk Sources = Sculk Catalyst
Many of the sculk textures were significantly updated compared to the MC Live footage this mod was based on. The animated tendril geometry has been removed from the sculk sensor and replaced with animated textures.
- Slate!
Slate's name has not been confirmed, and it may not even be likely it will generate in the Deep Dark with sculk blocks in 1.17 1.18 1.19. However, it was shown in the demo of the Warden (which is not included in this mod) along with the sculk blocks and candles, so it has been included in this mod.
PREDICTION ACCURACY:
Slate = Deepslate
The lighter color of Slate in this mod and the MC Live footage (compared to vanilla Deepslate) was likely due to the adjusted brightness in the MC Live footage this mod was based on.
- Candles!
Candles are customizable light sources that come in all dye colors, and they can be placed in different amounts to give off different light levels. Their placement works like sea pickles or turtle eggs.
PREDICTION ACCURACY:
100%
Vanilla candles have a few differences compared to those in this mod such as sound effects, the ability to light and extinguish them, the ability to place them on cakes, and smaller flames.
