Keep your shield. Keep your protection.

A dedicated Totem Slot appears beside the player model in the survival inventory, independent of both the main hand and the offhand. Equip a compatible death protector in this slot while leaving the offhand free for shields and other equipment.

FEATURES
• Dedicated Totem Slot — A separate square equipment slot, with a gray totem silhouette and a “Totem Slot” hover label.
• Shift-Click Equipment — Shift-click compatible totems from the inventory to move one directly into the empty Totem Slot.
• Independent Hands — A protector equipped in the Totem Slot does not appear as an offhand item in the inventory, first-person view, or third-person view.
• Death Protection — When a fatal hit occurs, death protection stored in this slot can activate even if the offhand is occupied by a shield.
• Functional Item Recognition — Identifies the death protection component, not the item's displayed name or icon. Reskinned and renamed death protectors with the underlying protection component are eligible.
• Normal Hand Protection Remains — Protection in either hand retains its original activation priority and behavior.
• Persistent Equipment — The dedicated item is stored with the player and is restored with player data.

HOW TO USE
1. Install this JAR in your Fabric 1.21.11 mods folder.
2. Open the survival inventory to find the dedicated Totem Slot to the right of the player model.
3. Shift-click a compatible totem or manually place it into the dedicated slot.
4. Equip a shield in the offhand if desired. The totem remains separate and can still activate when needed.
