Description

ChaosCrate

A client-side Fabric mod. Type /chaoscrate and you get a small chest-style menu. Click an item, the item lands in your inventory. The items are mostly silly.

What's in it

  • Movement (7) — Mega Mush (10× scale), Speed Feather, Tiny Potion, Ender Boots, Fast Elytra, Mountain Goat Boots, Ghost Walk Cape.
  • Combat (8) — Launch Hammer (mace), Chaos Wand, Knockback Blade, Sweep Sword, plus four trident variants (storm, giant, tidal, swift).
  • Tools (12) — Mega Pickaxe (instant-mining), Aqua Pickaxe, Mining/Reach Tridents, Reach Glove, Out-of-Body Charm (zooms F5 camera way out), Aqua-Lung, Frostward Talisman, Heart of Gold, Stealth Cape, Tank Chestplate, TNT-Resist Vest.
  • Animals (8) — Horse, Wolf, Happy Ghast, and Nautilus armor in giant / tiny / swift variants. Equip on the mob, watch it grow or shrink.
  • Potions (13) — Lightning Speed X, Mega Jump X, Giant Strength X, Eternal Regen, Levitation, Eternal Float, Vanish, Glow Stick, Ocean Boon (water breathing + dolphin's grace + conduit power), Frenzy (everything at once), Cursed Slowness CXXVII, Eternal Night Vision (infinite, no particles), Apocalypse Splash (Instant Health CXXVI — one-tap clears undead).
  • Hats (83 in 1.21.x, 86 in 26.x) — blocks, mob heads, flowers, all 16 dyed beds, and 17 designed banner crowns (Fox, Duck, Bunny, Mystic, Chicken, Panda, Crowned Skull, Ice Dragon, Fire Dragon, Pepe, Redstone Torch, Jolly Roger, Knight, Royal, Creeper, Mojang, Cherry). 26.x adds Golden Dandelion, Sulfur Block, and Cinnabar Block.

There's an Insanity slider below the panel that multiplies every attribute's amount before the item is built. Some presets cap themselves (Fast Elytra caps at Lv 2 so it doesn't get silly).

There's an Export Category button. Creates a single shulker (or a chest of shulkers if the category overflows) with everything in the current tab, ready to share.

How to use

  • /chaoscrate to open the menu.
  • Click an item → into your inventory.
  • Hover an item and press the drop key → into the world.
  • Scroll inside the panel if a tab has more than 54 items.
  • Open ModMenu → ChaosCrate → ⚙ as an alternative entry point.

Everything goes through vanilla's creative-action packet, so the server doesn't need the mod installed. Creative mode is required on the receiving end.

Configuration

config/chaoscrate/presets.json is written on first launch. Edit it to change items, lore, colors, attributes, banner patterns, armor trims, potion effects, equippable slot, max level. When the bundled schema bumps, your old file is renamed to presets.json.v<N>.bak and a fresh one is written; nothing is silently lost.

Requirements

Build Minecraft Fabric API
1.21.x jar 1.21.10 – 1.21.x any 1.21.x build
26.x jar 26.x any 26.x build

Optional: ModMenu — adds the config-screen button. Without it, just use /chaoscrate.

Notes

  • Resource-pack friendly: the menu is drawn from generic_54.png, the creative-inventory tab sprites, and slot_highlight_back/_front. Anything that retextures those automatically restyles ChaosCrate.
  • Banner patterns and armor trims use vanilla data registries — your patterns/trims show up correctly with whatever pack you have on.
