ChargeDuration [FIX] — Crossbow Reload Bug Fix

ChargeDuration [FIX] is a lightweight utility mod for Minecraft 1.19.2 that fixes a critical vanilla bug associated with high levels of the "Quick Charge" enchantment.

🔍 What was the problem?

In vanilla Minecraft, if you obtain a crossbow with Quick Charge V (5) or higher (via custom maps, mods, or commands), the loading time drops to zero or goes negative. This completely breaks the weapon: the crossbow becomes impossible to load, rendering it useless.

🛠️ What does this mod do?

This mod fixes the issue by introducing a safe minimum cap for the reload duration:

  • For enchantment levels I through IV, the reload speed is calculated using the standard vanilla formula.
  • At level V and above, the reload time is locked at a safe minimum of 5 ticks (0.25 seconds).

Now you can enjoy extremely fast crossbows on custom servers and modpacks without breaking the shooting mechanics.
