Sharpen Your Blade
📜 About the Mod
CoK Decoy: Chronicles of Kings answers every warrior's need for a worthy training partner. Summon a stalwart decoy in any shape you choose — friend or foe, villager or vindicator — and rain blows upon it without fear of true bloodshed. Armor it, arm it, name it, and learn the true weight of your blade before you ever raise it against a real enemy.

✨ Key Features
🗡️ Placeable Training Decoy
Right-click a block to plant a sturdy, stationary decoy ready to take whatever punishment you can dish out.
🎭 Choose Its Shape
Over two dozen built-in bodies to pick from — Steve, Zombie, Husk, Drowned, Skeleton, Stray, Wither Skeleton, Piglin, Zombie Villager, Witch, Pillager, Vindicator, and a Villager for every one of its fourteen professions, from Librarian to Nitwit.
🖌️ Custom Skins
Not enough shapes for you? Drop your own PNG into the config/cok_decoy/decoy_skins/ folder and it appears right in the skin dropdown, ready to select.
🛡️ Full Gear Slots
Equip armor and weapons directly onto the decoy, then toggle each piece's visibility independently — the stats and set bonuses always apply, shown or not.
🔄 Free Rotation
Independent head and body rotation controls let you line up the perfect angle for every strike.
📛 Custom Name & Status Display
Rename your decoy and toggle a floating readout of its health and armor, visible from across the training yard.
♻️ Never Truly Falls
Every hit lands, every crit flashes true — but the decoy restores to full health moments after the last blow, ready for your next assault immediately.
⚙️ How It Works
1. Forge Your Decoy
Craft one at the crafting table: a carved pumpkin head, a stick spine, a smooth stone base, and leather wrapped down both sides. Find it waiting in the CoK Decoy creative tab too.
2. Plant It
Right-click any block to place the decoy on top, automatically turning to face you.
3. Gear It Up
Right-click the placed decoy to open its gear screen, where you can:
- Body Shape: Pick from over two dozen built-in shapes, or drop a custom skin PNG into the
config/cok_decoy/decoy_skins/folder - Armor & Weapons: Fill its four armor slots plus mainhand and offhand, toggling each piece's visibility with a click
- Rotation: Turn the head and body independently to line up the perfect angle
- Name & Status: Give it a name and choose whether its health, armor, and name float above its head
4. Put It Through Its Paces
Strike away — every hit is tracked, every critical flashes on screen, and the decoy always survives, restoring to full health five seconds after your last blow so you can go again without resetting a thing.
5. Reclaim It
Done training? Sneak and attack it with an axe to break it back down into an item, ready to be planted again wherever you need it next.
👑 Prepare for Glory
CoK Decoy isn't just a target — it's the proving ground of every king's champion. Gear it, name it, break it, rebuild it, and strike until your blade never misses. No true warrior enters battle without first mastering the drill.
