Ever felt like regular Minecraft survival gets a bit too easy once you have some basic gear?

ChunkCore throws you into a completely different kind of challenge. You spawn into a brand new world, but there's a catch: you are locked inside a single 16x16 chunk. Step outside the border? You get instantly teleported back. Worse yet, everything outside your unlocked territory is shrouded in complete darkness!

So... how do I play?

You have to make do with what you have. Chop down that one tree, dig out whatever stone is available, and try not to die during your first night.

But don't worry, you aren't trapped in that one spot forever. Every morning, you'll be granted a special item: the Heart of the Chunk.

Take this item, face the dark border you want to push back, and right-click. Boom—you just revealed and unlocked an adjacent chunk. From there, it's up to you. Since you can't see what's hidden in the locked chunks, every expansion is a gamble. You might be building right next to a massive structure, a village, or a rare biome without even knowing it!

Features

• True Chunk Survival: Start with barely anything. Your first few days will be rough!

• Multiplayer Ready: Throw it on a server with some friends. Unlocked chunks sync up perfectly so you can build and survive together.
• Custom Advancements: There's a fully custom advancement tree to give you some clear goals along the way.

Customisation

ChunkCore is highly configurable to fit your preferred playstyle. As a server admin or singleplayer host, you have access to several tools to tweak the experience:

⚙️ GameRules:

• chunkCoreDaysPerHeart (default: 1): Change how many in-game days must pass before players receive a new Heart of the Chunk. Want a harder challenge? Set it to 3 or 5!
• chunkCoreShowHud (default: true): Toggle the visibility of the ChunkCore HUD (which displays unlocked chunks and time until the next heart).

💻 Commands (requires OP):

• /chunkcore unlock: Instantly and freely unlocks the chunk you are currently standing in. Great for server setup or fixing mistakes.
• /chunkcore color <hex>: Change the color of the dark border! Provide any hex color code (e.g., FF0000 for red, 00FF00 for green) to instantly update the border color for all players.

Getting started

Just install the mod and create a new world. The mod handles the rest.

1. Loot everything you can find in your starting chunk.
2. Survive the night.
3. Use your first Heart of the Chunk the next morning to expand!
