ChunkOMG
ChunkOMG allows you to change the max number of chunks a client can render. Go where no Minecrafter has gone before and use a 128 render distance, then watch your computer go up in flames
Usage
This was intended to allow a modpack that wants to channel a nostalgic/horror arg feeling by capping the max render distance, although the default is 128 and there is no limit.
Configuring
To change the cap, set maxChunks in chunkomg.cfg or use the in-game UI, then restart the game.
How This Works
On FMLPostInitializationEvent, we use GameSettings.Options.RENDER_DISTANCE.setValueMax to change the max value of the render distance
