Claws and Canopies

Claws and Canopies is a mod that allows the player to venture in the jungles of Minecraft to find a peculiar creature. This cute fella is called a sloth. I have never seen a mod do this before in a mod, so I made my own. Sloths can spawn in most biomes you would expect them to be in. You can use a sloth in a few ways. If you don't want this rant, just skip down a little bit to find what you need.

How to use your Sloths

Functionalities

1. Sloths can be an atmospheric addition if you are looking for a way to spice up the lusher biomes while exploring.

2. Sloths can be tamed using cocoa beans. They will fight for you using their claws and will try their hardest. They won't be too much of a dainty foe because they are able to professionally unalive a human based foe without armor in 2-3 swipes of their claws.

3. Some sloths are known to love not only plants, but the creepie crawlies too. They will chase down and kill normal spiders. (cave spiders are poisonous and scary) It makes sense. We have cats for creepers, dogs for skeletons, we need something for spiders too!

4. If you give a sloth a special treat (a melon slice), they will go insane, screaming with joy. While devouring their treat, they will give you a new effect that buffs your reach, attack damage, and swim speed. They will also leave behind some fur.

5. The small bit of fur left behind from the sloth after fed, can be used to make a new item, the sloth plush. The sloth plush is purely for fun and has no real gameplay features for now. If you right click while holding one, a totem like animation will happen and the sloth plush will make a squeezing noise. As a bonus, sloth fur can be crafted into brown wool, and leads as well. 

If you like this mod and like my art style, don't worry, I have a lot more planned. This is just the first project of mine. The other ones are either released or in development as you are reading this.
