Remove Diorite, Granite, and other junk while mining, but now you can derive these blocks from Stone to keep decorating while mining free of worry about inventory space.

Description

Cleaner Caves Mod

A standalone Minecraft Fabric mod managed by the PCKR Engine that cleans up cave generation by replacing aesthetic clutter blocks with standard stone or deepslate.

Features

  • Worldgen Cleanups: Replaces Diorite, Granite, Andesite, Tuff, and Dripstone blocks during initial chunk generation.
  • Dynamic Controls: Integrates with the PCKR Engine to register individual block settings.
  • Stonecutter Conversions: Allows transforming standard stone back into diorite, granite, andesite, tuff, and dripstone blocks using a Stonecutter, keeping decorators and builders happy.
  • On-Demand Retroactive Replacement: Running a server-side /pckr reload command sweeps all loaded chunks, substituting existing target blocks with stone/deepslate instantly.
  • Client/Server Configuration Locking: Master settings are registered server-side and lock in multiplayer screens to prevent client-side configuration drift.

In-Game Configuration Screen

Open the standard Minecraft Options menu and click the PCKR Engine button next to "Done" to open the dashboard. Under the Cleaner Caves section, click "Expand" to configure each setting:

Option ID Type Default Description
enabled Boolean true Master enable toggle for all cave replacements.
replace_diorite Boolean true When active, diorite is replaced with stone/deepslate.
replace_granite Boolean true When active, granite is replaced with stone/deepslate.
replace_andesite Boolean true When active, andesite is replaced with stone/deepslate.
replace_tuff Boolean true When active, tuff is replaced with stone/deepslate.
replace_dripstone Boolean true When active, dripstone is replaced with stone/deepslate.
stonecutter_conversions Boolean true When active, registers stonecutter recipes to craft diorite, granite, andesite, tuff, and dripstone from stone.

How it Works

  1. WorldGen Stage: During the chunk generation features pass, block states are checked. If a block matches diorite, granite, etc., and its toggle is active, it is rewritten.
  2. Reload Sweep: When /pckr reload runs, the mod scans all chunks that are currently loaded on the server and replaces existing blocks retroactively. It can't transform stone back into the already replaced stone blocks.
  3. Stonecutter Crafting: Custom recipes of type minecraft:stonecutting map 1 Stone to 1 of Diorite, Granite, Andesite, Tuff, or Dripstone Block. These load dynamically using Fabric resource conditions only if stonecutter_conversions is enabled.

Thanks for downloading, and if you ever run into any issues, please contact me. I'll get it sorted right away. ~protoncracker.
