About
Description

Cloudy Villager Bounties adds a bounty board to village squares. Each board posts bounties on named elite mobs that spawn 100 to 800 blocks away. Kill the target and bring its Bound Trophy back to the board for emeralds.

The Board
Bounty squares generate with new villages. A board posts one new bounty each Minecraft day and holds up to six at a time. Each posting shows the target's name, its tier, the coordinates where it spawned and the reward.
The target spawns when the bounty is posted. There is no accept step.

The board in the world shows the same six portraits as its menu.

Targets
Targets are vanilla hostile mobs with more health, equipment, and one or more of 36 modifiers. The name shows the modifier: a Venomous Skeleton poisons on hit, an Ironclad Zombie has extra armor, a Scorching Spider sets you on fire.
Eight mob types: zombie, husk, skeleton, stray, wither skeleton, spider, pillager and vindicator.
Higher tiers raise stats, gear and modifier count.

Trophies and rewards
A defeated target drops a Bound Trophy. Its tooltip names the board that will pay for it. Put the trophy in the board's turn-in slot and press Turn In. The reward goes to the payout slot.
Default rewards:
| Tier | Emeralds |
|---|---|
| 1 | 5–10 |
| 2 | 15–25 |
| 3 | 30–45 |
| 4 | 50–75 |
| 5 | 80–100 |
Three turned-in bounties of the current tier unlock the next tier at that board, up to tier 5. Progress belongs to the board, not the player.

Pinned bounties
Pin bounty adds a posting to a tracker at the edge of the screen, with its name, its coordinates and a compass. Pins are kept through death and relogging. Once the target is dead, the pin points back to the board.
Press B to open the pinned bounties window to unpin hunts or hide the tracker. The key can be changed in Controls.

Configuration
config/villagerbounties-server.toml sets the reward item and the amount range for each tier. Any item works, including items from other mods. Bounties already posted keep their reward.
Two loot switches control whether targets drop their normal loot and whether they drop the equipment the bounty gave them. Trophies always drop.
Peaceful
On Peaceful, living targets are removed and the board shows "Out of Bounties. The village is at peace." Trophies can still be turned in, and the board keeps its progress.

Requirements
