About
Description

This mod adds the Distortion World from Pokémon. You can watch this episode from the Clumpy Bros Cobblemon series to see most of what this mod offers.
You can install Cobblemon for the intended experience with this mod but it is not a requirement. This mod is fully functional without the inclusion of Cobblemon. The only parts of this mod that are Cobblemon related are spawns for Pokémon and the Glizzious Orb changing Giratina into Glizzatina.
These are some planned future additions that will be added:
- Structures for the legendaries instead of random spawns
- More changes to gravity
- Lighting changes with and without shaders
- Better skybox without shaders
- Changes to some of the structures
- Some secret changes
Getting In and Out of the Dimension
Getting In:
To access the Distortion World look for the Spear Pillar structure that generates in mountains biomes. Once you find one right click the mob on the structure named Cyrus.
Getting Out:
Once in the Distortion World there are two ways out of the dimension. The first is to make Distorted Stew. You will need to find a Distorted Shrub and make a Bowl. Putting both in a crafting table will allow you to craft the Distorted Stew. Eating the stew will teleport you back to your spawn point. The second way is to build a portal. You do this by placing Distorted Stone in a nether portal shape. Once the frame is built you light the portal by right clicking it with a Distorted Leaf the same way you would with a nether portal. The Distorted Leaf is a rare drop from Distorted Blossoms.
Gravity
To change gravity so that you are upside down press the grave key that looks like this `. This key will allow you to flip upside down or back to normal. This keybind will most likely be changed in the future once other gravity directions are added.
Advancements
- How'd That Happen: Entered the Distortion World
- What's Glizzatina?: Found the Glizzeous Orb
Crafting Recipes
- Distorted Log/Stripped Distorted Log: Place Stalk/Stripped Stalk anywhere in the crafting grid.
- Distorted Planks, Button, Fence, Fence Gate, Pressure Plate, Slab, Stairs, Door, Trapdoor: Same as normal wood crafting.
- Distorted Stalactites Block: Same as Dripstone Block.
- Spear Pillar Rock Top: Put Spear Pillar Rock in a stonecutter. You can also make it by putting one clay ball and three sand in the shape of the Stonecutter's recipe.
- Spear Pillar Rock: Put Spear Pillar Rock Top in a Stonecutter.
- Poké Ball Chest: Three Red Concrete on the top row. The middle row from left to right is Black Concrete, Stone Button, and Black Concrete. The last row is three White Concrete.
- The Distorted Rock Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, and Hoe are all created like normal tools. You use the Distorted Rock block in place of the material and sticks like normal.
- Furnace: This is not a new block but you can make a furnace with Distorted Rock.
- Distorted Stew: A Bowl and a Distorted Shrub together anywhere in the crafting grid.
- Distorted Wrench: A Distorted Rock placed above a Stick in the crafting grid.
Pokémon Spawns
In the Distortion World these Pokémon can spawn:
- Azelf
- Banette
- Dusclops
- Dusknoir
- Duskull
- Gastly
- Gengar
- Giratina
- Haunter
- Mesprit
- Shuppet
- Spiritomb
- Unown
- Uxie
Glizzatina
- Glizzatina currently does not have a spawn.
- Glizzatina is a Ghost/Dragon type.
- The only way to obtain this Fakemon is to give Giratina the Glizzious Orb item which can be found in hidden floating islands. Once the Glizzious Orb is given to Giratina you can then evolve into Glizzatina.
- To revert back to Giratina give Glizzatina a brush to hold. This will allow you to evolve back into Giratina.
Distorted Tool Effects
Sword: When hitting a living entity the levitation effect will be applied to that entity.
Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, and Hoe: All of these grant the user the haste effect while mining. The haste level increases as the player mines up to Haste V (5). The player must be mining to get the effect and have it increase in level. Haste does wear off shortly after mining has stopped.
Known Issues
All issues will be fixed but they may not all be fixed at the same time. Fixes to these issues may happen over the course of a few updates.
Version 1.0.1
Upside Down:
- Block held in hand in first person is not solid
- In third person the arms are swapped visually
- No View Bobbing
- Jump and crouch movement are not perfect
- On key press flipping has some weird movement
- If using Yes Steve Model you will not see a third person visual flip
- Creative movement not correct
Other:
- Growing a Distorted Tree in any other direction but up will still make it face upward (other directions not implemented yet).
All Versions:
Lag:
Currently the Distorted Stalactites can cause lag when loading new chunks. If I learn of a better way to handle them I will fix it. For now just give them time to generate. This only causes lag when you generate new chunks.
Tree Harvester Mods:
Mods that allow you to fully chop down a tree will probably not work for the Distortion World Trees. Unless I find a fix you will have to cut them down manually.
