Natural Behaviors & Ecosystem

- Aron Iron Craving (New in v1.3.0)

Wild Aron can now actively search for and consume iron-rich materials found throughout the environment:

  • Directional Iron Detection: Aron periodically scans along the horizontal axes, directly below itself, and diagonally downward in the direction it is facing.
  • Intelligent Route Planning: After detecting iron, Aron calculates a route toward the target while attempting to avoid unnecessary obstacles.
  • Configurable Digging: If its route is blocked, Aron can gnaw through permitted blocks defined in config_aron.json.
  • Iron Gnawing: Aron turns toward the target and gradually damages it with bite sounds, particles, and visible block-breaking effects.
  • Dropped Item Collection: After breaking an iron-rich block, Aron approaches the dropped material before consuming it.
  • Growth Reward: Successfully consuming iron grants Aron a small amount of experience.
  • Supported Materials: Iron ores, raw iron blocks, iron blocks, rails, chains, iron bars, and anvils can all be configured as edible materials.

- Herd & Pack System (Tauros & Bouffalant) (New in v1.2.0)

Wild Tauros and Bouffalant spawn and roam natural biomes such as Plains, Savannas, and Meadows in dynamic herds of 6–14 Pokémon:

  • Alpha Leader: Each herd is guided by a towering Alpha Leader with a larger scale and higher level.
  • V-Formation March: Herd followers maintain a synchronized wedge or V-formation behind their leader.
  • Alpha Succession: If the leader is defeated or caught, the strongest remaining member promotes itself to the new Alpha.
  • Stampede & Environmental Destruction: The entire herd stampedes when provoked, breaking configured obstacle blocks and scaling slopes smoothly.

- Synchronized Horn Clash (New in v1.2.0)

Periodic, rare territorial duels can occur between herd members. Two rivals lock eyes, step backward, stomp up dust clouds, and charge head-on into each other with synchronized critical spark impacts and anvil sounds.

- Magikarp Jumping

Magikarp can actively leap out of the water. Jump height is influenced by its stats, size, and weight, creating more natural and varied behavior.

- Flying Pokémon AI (Expanded in v1.3.0)

Flying Pokémon feature a complete aerial behavior system with improved movement and new flight mechanics:

  • Natural Takeoff & Landing: Pokémon can transition smoothly between the ground and the air.
  • Aerial Navigation: Flying Pokémon can travel through the world while avoiding terrain and obstacles.
  • Circling & Hovering: Pokémon can circle in the sky or hover naturally above land and water.
  • Perching: Flying Pokémon can find suitable locations to rest before taking flight again.
  • Aerial Spawning: Supported species can spawn directly in the sky.
  • Combat Safety: Custom flight behavior pauses during official battles and resumes after combat ends.

Compatibility

- Cobblemon 1.8.1 (Updated in v1.3.0)

Updated for compatibility with Cobblemon 1.8.1 and Minecraft 1.21.1.

- Fight or Flight Reborn

Fully integrated with Fight or Flight Reborn. Custom flight, herd, and species-specific AI automatically pause while Pokémon are in official combat or fleeing, then resume smoothly once combat concludes.
