About

Description

Coins, Coins and More Coins!!

This mod adds survival-obtainable Coins and many materials involved in the creation of those coins. These are best suited for those who want to craft their own currencies for the purpose of roleplay in survival! Currently supported materials include:

-Gold

-Copper

-Iron

-Crimsite (New!)

-Twisteel (New!)

-Rose Gold (If an ingot is added by a supported mod)

-Steel (If an ingot and nugget is added by a supported mod)

Once you craft a Coin Press (Deepslate/Blackstone + Iron/Twisteel/Crimsite Block), you can use it as-is or apply an armor trim to give your coins one of 17 patterns! (1 blank + 16 armor trims). These are usable with all 7 materials, leading to 119 unique coin textures!!

New Materials

This mod adds Crimsite and Twisteel to the nether! These alloys do not spawn as ores, and are instead artificially created. You can craft Twisteel Blend from Quartz, Warped Wart Blocks, and a Gold Ingot. Likewise, Crimsite Blend is made of Blaze Powder, Nether Wart Blocks, and a Gold Ingot. Throw the blend into a blast furnace to obtain ingots.

Minting Tools

Craftable out of Diamond, Gold, Iron, Steel, Rose Gold, Crimsite, or Twisteel... plus 2 sticks, a piece of leather, and a piece of flint. These tools, along with a nugget of your choice and a coin press, are how you craft your coins! This uses up durability on the minting tools, so don't overinflate your economy!

Compatibility/Dependencies

This mod has no required dependencies, but some built in compatibility with three mods.

The original development of this mod was started for a modpack to be used on a server. As such, the Steel and Rose Gold coins are designed to be compatible with Epic Knights and Minecraft Comes Alive Reborn. If you would like to add compatibility to another mod's Steel or Rose Gold you can use a datapack to add their ingots/nuggets to the tags c:steel_ingot, c:steel_nugget, and c:rose_gold_ingot. These are used in the recipes for this mod, so as long as those are added it will be compatible!! (This mod adds Nuggets for MCAR's Rose Gold and Minecraft's Copper, but Epic Knights already has a steel nugget so this was not added.)

The creation of Twisteel and Crimsite also have built-in support for Alloy Forgery, but are still obtainable without the mod!

If you're using this mod on a multiplayer server with Supplementaries you can combine your coins with a Name Tag in the crafting table. This adds a description to the Coins, while not using up the name tag! If you utilize some of the many Unicode characters supported by minecraft, you can create a currency that's very difficult to copy/create forgeries of. Just be sure to store the Name Tag in a safe place!!
