About

Description

Have you ever wished to stain just one or two glass panes, without the hassel of leftovers? Or perhaps you just wish to dye blocks that have already been dyed, like in bedrock edition. Maybe you just want to fulfill your dream of becoming a painter in Minecraft? With this pack, you can! This pack was made because of all of those reasons.

Simply craft a brush using the slightly modified recipe (Copper Ingot not included because I'm petty), put some dye in your offhand, and left-click a dyeable block. It will not use durability, but will take one dye from your offhand. Make sure you craft the brush, as any existing brushes will not be updated, nor will brushes from the creative menu (as of now)

As of now, this works on: -Wool and Carpets -Glass and Glass Panes -Terracotta (Not Glazed Terracotta) -Concrete and Concrete Powder

This pack utilizes 1.21s data driven enchant system to execute a function at the block you hit with the brush, so it won't be backported to any lower version, unless theres actual demand.

This is my first datapack, so the functions may be a bit messy, but I tried to clean them up a decent bit instead of shoving a bunch of commands into just one function. Big thanks to misodes recipe and enchantment generators for helping me figure out the formatting for them... and shoutouts to friends who helped and encouraged me!

  • Time to finish my masterpiece!
Time to finish my masterpiece! I really don't want to have to make 8 whole stained terracotta! Let's just dye a single block...
  • It's perfect! The sun is shining!
It's perfect! The sun is shining! ...Now why was I painting in a trial chamber again?
