Description

Add several highly intelligent creature to your mod collection!

anuranth1

The terrifying anuranth, predatory frogman of the swamplands!

The Anuranth is a cunning predator. They hide in swamps, emerging to hunt animals when hungry, and returning to their muddy home to breed. If their numbers grow too large, they'll attack the player unprovoked, but will flee if their bretheren begin to fall. Beware! If you bring the fight to the water, they will never back down, and more may be hiding in the murk.

If they chase their prey far beyond their homeland, they may settle in distant rivers and lakes, and begin a new population. This invasive species will cause tremendous harm to your livestock if left alone, and you should kill them all on sight.

gnome1

In a hole in the ground, there lived a gnome. A nasty hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell; dry, and sandy, with nothing to sit down on...

I digress. Despite being cuddly and adorable, these nasty little cretins will steal your chests and, akin to velociraptors, are quite fast (especially when threatened) and can open doors. The Wood Gnomes build little dirt hovels in the forests. More varieties of gnomes are planned to come later.

While the horrid surface gnomes are borne of earth and loam, the underworldy Deep Gnomes have been wrought from rock and stone. These industrious creatures tirelessly mine for stone and ore, storing the fruits of their labor in stony chests. Why do they mine? How long have they been mining? For what purpose does the stone serve, beyond cobbling more Deep Gnomes together? Strange things are done in the midnight sun by the gnomes who moil for stone; perhaps they serve some dark and alien god that dwells deeper still. Perhaps they just like filling up boxes with rocks. In any case, intrepid spelunkers can occasionally find gnomic chests full of valuable ore.
