About

Description

This mod adds content in a few different areas of the game, and providing uses for existing materials that I felt were missing from the game, as well as silly extras to have some fun with.

Suggestions, bug reports, and other questions can be taken to the Discord. We'd love to have you over!

Two new tool path types exist alongside vanilla's tools; Durability-Focused sets, and Efficiency-Focused sets.

Durability:

  • Carbon Steel; Tier between iron and diamond. Boasts increased durability and damage.
  • Titanium; Tier between diamond and netherite. Very durable, sharp, and protective. Can be used to upgrade to netherite as well without the need for diamond gear.

Efficiency:

  • Silver; Gold tools rebalanced for the iron tool tier. 64 Durability, diamond-mining capabilities, and a tad bit sharper than gold.
  • Amethyst; Put all the extra geode material to good use. Has similar durability to iron, but is capable of mining ancient debris, and fairly quickly as well. Not the worst for combat, but there's better options.

Basic medical supplies exist as well, giving more common resources more of a use.

  • Bandages; Simple, made of string and oxeye daises. Restores some HP over time.
  • Medkit; Uses bandages, copper, and some dye. Restores a lot more HP over a longer time period.

The mod also adds miscellaneous uses for vanilla materials in the form of new recipes, plus some end-game weapons and gadgets with complex crafting recipes, if you find yourself with some spare time.

I intend to add more content over time, but life has a way of thwarting my plans. Curses! Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1 are the only versions currently supported for this mod. Please do not ask for ports to newer versions.

You are allowed to use this mod in your modpacks if you desire.

  • Graphite
Graphite Used for carbon steel creation, but can also be used to make pencils, an alternative to ink sacs and feathers for the book and quill.
  • Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel Created with enough graphite and iron chain links at a smithing table. Provides more reasonable durability compared to iron tools.
  • Titanium (& Rutile)
Titanium (& Rutile) Titanium can be extracted from rutile crystals, which can be found all over the place in the form of pure ores, and quartz infused with rutile. Carbon steel tools are needed to create titanium gear, and can then be used to make netherite gear.
  • Silver (v0.2)
Silver (v0.2) An alternative to gold, silver is capable of mining whatever iron can. Though durability, sharpness, and protective stats are only slightly increased.
  • Amethyst Expansion (v0.2)
Amethyst Expansion (v0.2) Amethysts can now be polished at a stonecutter and made into proper gems. These gems (alongside some extra iron) can be made into tools that mine at diamond level, but have iron-similar durability, and very high efficiency.
  • Tools and Armor (as of v0.2)
Tools and Armor (as of v0.2) Silver gear is slightly stronger gold gear, Amethyst armor provides minimal toughness and knockback resistance at iron+ level, Carbon Steel boasts high durability at iron level, and Titanium is a well-rounded, very durable diamond+ armor set.
  • The Silly Stuff (as of v0.2)
The Silly Stuff (as of v0.2) Wood pellets can be made out of leftover sticks for decent fuel. Bandages and Medkits offer slow healing for a decent cost. Iron can be made into links for chainmail armor, and there are a few end-game weapons/items to make. Good luck!
