About

Description

Condition Overload is an addon for Tinkers Construct, a modular tools mod that allows you to make your own custom weapons. This mod adds one thing and one thing only: The Wicked Jewel.

When added to a modular weapon from Tinkers Construct, the weapon gains the trait "Condition Overload". The damage of the weapon is increased by how many negative/harmful potion effects that are on the target (and by default, if the target is on fire.) You may wish to combine this with other tinkers addons, such as PlusTIC, to enable the usage of more status related materials.

A few notes about the mod:

If you are a pack maker, consider adding this to a pack if you want to encourage an alternate style of "builds" for Tinkers Construct, rather than just stacking multipliers with something like PlusTIC.

If you are wondering if this trivializes boss fights, quite a number of bosses are immune to potions, such as the Wither and the Ender Dragon. There is also the problem of applying actually applying the potion effects, and without many potion effects applied, this isn't particuarly overpowered. Brewing potions to use just for condition overload could easily just be drank by yourself.

Generally, the goal of using Condition Overload is to apply a decent number of potion effects to the enemy without having to mess around with throwing splash potions on the enemy: to be a modifier to build around and support what would normally be less than stellar materials.

There are quite a few ways to change the scaling of Condition Overload in the config, from a flat additive mode, to capping the number of potion effects allowed
