About

Description

"A thing that adds things"

This is a "realistic" terrain generation mod that tries to avoid the same common pitfalls that many other "realistic" terrain generation mods have. such as too flat a wide terrain

Confluence adds:

  • realistic mountains
  • rivers that flow while not using minecraft water states for visuals (with half working shader compat)
  • Volcanos that look bad

honestly it has it all. if "it all" is modderately good visuals.

the rivers use custom rendering, but they should be mostly compatable with sodium and iris. here is an example of a waterfall:

waterfall

my goal is to create a terrain generation mod that looks realistic and beautiful while keeping generation times low along with FPS reasonable. as of version 0.3.0 the generation mostly reads as very large and fairly realistic looking continents with islands scattered about. sometimes. Confluence is one mod in a family of fantasy styled mods i am working on. this family will include many things, and will devour the next 8 months of my life most likely.

use in modpacks is freely given, but it's not nearly completed yet so newer versions might look very different from the current one.
