Copperwing Companion
Copperwing Companion is a Minecraft 1.17.1 (Forge) mod that introduces an autonomous flying drone helper.
What It Does Autonomous Flying Entity: Adds a copper drone (copperdrone) that flies alongside the player.
Player Restriction: Strictly limited to 1 active drone per player. Duplicate drones automatically discard.
Cross-Dimensional Travel: Automatically teleports with the owner across dimensions (Overworld, Nether, End).
How It Helps Mobile Storage: Attaching a chest grants 27 slots of mobile inventory space.
Dynamic Illumination: Attaching a torch causes the drone to light up the surrounding area during flight.
Automated Item Pickup: Automatically detects and picks up nearby dropped items on the ground, storing them in its internal inventory.
Base Charging: Automatically recharges its power level when resting on a Charger Block.
Controls & Usage Assembly:
Attach 4 propellers to the drone body. The drone cannot fly without all 4 propellers installed.
Ownership:
Right-click the drone to claim ownership.
Equipping & Interacting:
Right-click with Chest: Equips storage capability (27 slots).
Right-click with Torch: Enables dynamic lighting mode.
Right-click with Spare Battery: Instantly restores drone battery life.
Power & Maintenance:
Place the drone on a Charger Block to replenish power.
Mode Switching:
Right-click or interact with the drone to switch between Follow Mode (follows player) and Base Mode (remains at assigned position/charger).
