Description
Howdy partner! I bet a hat would keep the sun off yer head! and a pair of boots to match would look dandy!
Cowboy Hats is a mod that adds cowboy themed hats and boots that are crafted as a special table, and also a bottle of sarsaparilla. The hats and boots can be upgraded at a different table to upgrade them and give them random rolled effects.
Compatable with Tough as Nails:
the hats and boots both count as cooling armor, and the sarsaparilla gives you some thirst from that mod too
Crafting:
In order to make hats or boots, you need a leatherworking table, made from 4 of any kind of planks and a bucket of water (it does consume the bucket):

using that table, you can make leather strips to make hats (and leather armer) with:

You can then make leather armor in the leatherworking table:

In order to upgrade the hats, you will need an infusion table:

and of course you can craft Sarsaparilla to quence your thirst from a water bottle, brown dye, and sugar:

Leatherworking:
You can make most hats the same way, using 4 leather and 2 leather strips:

The exception to this rule is the comically large cowboy hat, which uses much more:

you can also use the leatherworking table to make cowboy boots using 4 leather and 2 iron nuggets:

You can upgrade your cowboy hats or boots using the infusion table. Doing so will bring the gear up a tier and give them a random effect
Hat Effects:
Lucky:
10% chance whenever you take damage, to instead not take damage
Armored:
Equivalent armor to a diamond helmet
Relaxed Sleeper:
When you wake up, fills your hunger and saturation, and also gives you regeneration for 10 seconds
Tough Rider:
You have the resistance potion effect when you are riding a mob
Pickpocket:
whenever you deal damage to a monster, it has a 10% chance to give you an item.
chances are:
- Iron Nugget - 50% - 1 in 2
- Gold Nugget - 40% - 2 in 5
- Emerald - 9.5% - 19 in 200
- Diamond - 0.5% - 1 in 200
Bloodthirsty:
Killing a mob gives you 4 seconds of regeneration
Boot Effects:
Lucky:
10% chance whenever you take damage, to instead not take damage
Armored:
Equivalent armor to a pair of diamond boots
Traveler:
Every 500 blocks you travel by any means gives you EXP
Fast Rider:
When you ride a mob, it gains the speed potion effect
Escape Rider:
While riding a mob, if you or the mob takes damage, the mob you are riding gains the speed 2 potion effect for 10 seconds
Springy:
You have the jump potion effect, allowing you to jump 1.5 blocks
Infusion:
There is 4 Tiers you can make the cowboy hats and boots into
Tier 1 to Tier 2 (and with it one random cowboy effect) is gained with 6 iron ingots:

Tier 2 to Tier 3 (and with it a second random cowboy effect) is gained with 6 diamonds:

Tier 3 to Tier 4 (and with it a third and final random cowboy effect) is gained with a netherite ingot in the bottom slot:

You can reroll all of the effects on a piece of cowboy armor at any time with a gold ingot in the bottom slot:

Yippee Ki Yay partner!
