Inspect live recipes, ingredients and competing crafting results.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Fabric Loader 0.16.14 or newer
  • Fabric API 0.116.6 or newer, compatible with Minecraft 1.21.1 (tested with 0.116.6+1.21.1)
  • Java 21 or newer
  • Environment: Server / singleplayer

Features and commands

  • /craftinspect hand [page] — recipes producing the item in your main hand.
  • /craftinspect uses [page] — recipes that accept your held item as an ingredient.
  • /craftinspect recipe namespace:id — type, result, ingredient alternatives and a main-inventory ingredient check.
  • /craftinspect grid <4 or 9 comma-separated item IDs> — evaluate all loaded crafting recipes against a simulated 2×2 or 3×3 grid; use - for empty slots.

Installation

Install the mod and Fabric API on the Fabric server. Players can use the commands without this mod on their clients. For singleplayer, install both in the client mods folder.

Install only the individual mod JAR, not the ZIP bundle or sources JAR. No Cobblemon dependency.

Scope and limitations

Grid simulation uses default-component item stacks. It cannot reproduce custom names, enchantments or arbitrary components. Ingredient availability checks count one item per ordinary crafting ingredient, ignore offhand/armor, and do not guarantee the arrangement or custom conditions. Dynamic recipes may have no static output. It does not add, remove or replace recipes.

MIT licensed. You may include this mod in modpacks. Each mod is independently usable.
