Obtaining Spawners
You can now use a pickaxe enchanted with silk touch to obtain an empty spawner and a spawner core from a natural spawner.
Alternatively, a an empty spawner can be crafted with eight netherite scraps surrounding an egg, and a spawner core can be crafted with one netherite ingot and four blaze powder.
A soulfire spawner core can be crafted with one regular spawner core surrounded by eight diamonds. Soulfire spawner cores are used to craft the spawners of rarer mobs.
Crafting Spawners
Currently, all of the mobs you can craft spawners for are skeletons, zombies, spiders, creepers, slimes, and magma cubes.
With a soulfire spawner core, you can craft blaze, enderman, and wither skeleton spawners.
Every spawner recipe requires an empty spawner, either a regular or soulfire spawner core, and seven other items pertaining to whatever mob you want to summon.
Spawner Core Recipes
A skeleton spawner requires four bones, two arrows, and a fresh bow.
A zombie spawner requires seven rotten flesh. (A drowned spawner can be crafted with a zombie spawner, four gold ingots, and four prismarine crystals.)
A spider spawner requires five string and two spider eyes.
A creeper spawner requires four gunpowder, two redstone, and one TNT.
A slime spawner requires seven slimeballs.
A magma cube spawner requires four magma cream, two magma blocks, and a lava bucket.
A zombified piglin spawner requires four nether wart, two rotten flesh, and one golden sword.
Soulfire Spawner Core Recipes
A blaze spawner requires six blaze rods and a fire charge.
A witch spawner requires a glistering melon, sugar, a pufferfish, redstone, glowstone, a fermented spider eye, and magma cream.
An enderman spawner requires four ender pearls, two eyes of ender, and one chorus flower.
A wither skeleton spawner requires four diamonds, two netherite ingots, and a nether star.
Placing and Breaking Spawners
! BREAKING ANY SPAWNER WITHOUT SILK TOUCH WILL DESTROY IT AND ALL COMPONENTS !
Breaking any spawner with silk touch that a player crafted will yield back the custom spawner item.
If sneaking while the spawner is mined, the player will receive an empty spawner and a regular or soulfire spawner core. A wither skeleton spawner mined in this way will also drop a nether star.
Placing a spawner requires at least 4 XP levels. This is to prevent infinite XP.
