Create Better Wrench

An unofficial addon for Create that merges the repetitive parts of drivetrain building, demolition and Depot processing into a single wrench. Create is required.

Features

  • Connect — right-click a start and an end point; corners are added freely and the drivetrain is built along the path. Ctrl + Scroll picks gearboxes or large cogwheels.
  • Chain Conveyor — right-click a start and an end Chain Conveyor: the wrench plans the route, fills in the missing conveyors on the way and links them with chains. Ctrl + Scroll picks Standard, Straight or Semi-auto; in Semi-auto the waypoints are chosen by hand and their heights are solved for you.
  • Deconstruct — two-click area selection, then bulk removal. Ctrl + Scroll filters the target: all valid blocks, Create blocks only, or redstone blocks only.
  • Process — lock a Depot and right-click it while holding an item: the wrench acts as a Deployer, a Spout or an axe, covering sequenced assembly, spout filling, fan processing and forging.
  • Modes — hold ALT for the mode bar and Scroll to switch between modes; the Mod Info page also hides a small easter egg.
  • Configuration — every feature has its own switch and limits, editable in game with /cbw config. On a server the server configuration decides what players are allowed to do.

Requirements

Create is required and must be installed separately. Every library this mod uses ships with Create, so nothing extra has to be added.

The project is published for both supported game versions; download the file whose platform tags match the game version and loader of the instance.

Notes

On the older line, Forging also needs a source of a hammer item — either a mod that provides one, or a data pack that adds a hammer item to the hammer tag. All other features behave the same on both lines.
