Description
Create: Tracks+ / Azimuth Crash Fixed (UNOFFICIAL)
This issue has been fixed in Create: Tracks+ version 1.0.6beta6 and later!
Create Tracks+ crashes on startup when Azimuth (or anything that depends on it, like Bits 'n' Bobs) is also installed. Both mods are well-built on their own, but they collide over one specific detail: Tracks+ ends up registering one of its block renderers twice — once directly, and once through Registrate, a shared library many Create addons rely on. That second, redundant registration overlaps with a fix Azimuth applies to that same library, and this overlap is what triggers a ClassCastException crash during startup, before the world even loads.
This mod resolves that overlap so both can be installed together. It patches the one redundant registration step and nothing else — it doesn't change how either mod behaves on its own. Tracks+'s tracks, wheel mounts, and rendering all continue to work exactly as intended.
What changes for you
- Without this mod: installing Tracks+ alongside Azimuth (or Bits 'n' Bobs) crashes the game on launch. You'd have to pick one or the other.
- With this mod: both load and play together normally, with no visual or gameplay differences from either mod's intended behavior.
Tested against the original crash log with Tracks+, Azimuth, and Bits 'n' Bobs all installed together — the game now starts, loads resources and shaders, and reaches the main menu/world without the crash.
About this mod
This is a minimal, single-purpose compatibility patch. It doesn't add any new blocks, items, or features, and it has no effect unless Tracks+ is installed. Just drop it in your mods folder alongside both — no configuration needed.
It's an unofficial, third-party patch made to resolve this specific mod combination, not an official fix from the Tracks+ or Azimuth team. Once the underlying issue is resolved upstream, this mod will no longer be needed and can be safely removed.
Note: This mod's code was written with the help of Claude AI.
