Create: Train Mining

Create: Train Mining adds automation tools for Create trains, including direct train movement without requiring a destination station.

It was originally made for self extending mining trains that place their own track, return to base when full, unload, then continue mining automatically.

Automation Profiles

The mod uses automation profiles so the controller is not limited to mining.

The included Mining profile can:

  1. Drive the train forward continuously
  2. Monitor its inventory
  3. Return to a configured station when full
  4. Wait for the train to unload
  5. Resume from where it left off

More automation profiles may be added in the future.

Requirements

  • Create 6.0.10

Basic Setup

  1. Place a Train Automation Controller
  2. Select the Create train you want to control
  3. Select an automation profile
  4. Configure its settings
  5. Start the controller

For the Mining profile, configure the return station, mining direction, speed, return threshold, and unload threshold.

The train can then operate without requiring a station in front of it.
