Description
Creeper Reversed
The creeper runs. You hiss. You explode.
Turn a familiar Minecraft encounter upside down: approaching a creeper makes the player become the bomb. Works with Steve, Alex, and custom skins.
Flash, flee, survive
- Get within 3 blocks of a visible creeper to start your fuse.
- Your entire skin and first-person arms flash white with the vanilla creeper effect. Hear the hiss and see smoke at your position.
- You have 3 seconds (60 game ticks) before you explode and die.
- Get at least 6 blocks away from the triggering creeper, or break line of sight, to gradually defuse.
- Creepers flee nearby Survival and Adventure players instead of chasing them, and cannot explode even when ignited. They need a walkable escape route.
- Charged creepers double explosion power. Creative and Spectator players are exempt.
Supported versions
| Minecraft | Loaders | Java |
|---|---|---|
| 1.20.1 | Forge 47.4.0+ or Fabric 0.16.14+ | 17 |
| 1.21.1 | NeoForge 21.1.252+ or Fabric 0.16.14+ | 21 |
Installation
Choose the JAR matching your Minecraft version and loader, and place it in your mods folder. Fabric API is not required. Install the same version on the server and every client. Replace older copies instead of keeping both JARs.
Gameplay details
Explosions use vanilla damage, knockback, particles, and sound. Block destruction follows mobGriefing; inventory loss follows keepInventory. Players die at detonation even with armor. Skin and sleeves flash; armor and held items retain normal rendering. Body swelling and lingering potion clouds are not included. Mods replacing the same AI or rendering behavior may conflict.
